She's on a Roll...

Hannah has a new trick! She can finally roll all the way over from her back to her tummy! She had been rolling onto her side for a week or so, but that was as far as she got. She would just stay kind of half way over and half way not. She couldn't figure out how to move that one arm from underneath her little belly. Before we left to come to OK, Ricky told me to have Granny teach her how to roll over. I guess he was right....

When Hannah and I were at Mom's this week, Angie kept playing with her on the floor. She would almost roll over, so I would grab the camera and she would stop. It was like she KNEW I was trying to capture the moment on tape! I finally gave up after about the tenth time and put the camera down.

The next mornig she was laying down on the floor and she just started grunting. We all looked up and... there she went! All the way over and even got that little arm out from under her belly. We all started clapping! Daddy wasn't there to see it so I gave him a call on his cell and told him the big news! Now she truly is a BIG Girl!!!

PS Granny said that the next time she came up that they would work on crawling. Guess we had better baby proof the house since Granny is such a good teacher!!!

Trading Spaces Day 1

Today I began the ambitious project of building a pergola. I enlisted the help of long time friend and master carpenter Jason Oliver (yes that is an actual picture of him.) Also, there to lend a hand was my new neighbor Clint. We went to Lowe's and picked up six 4x4x8s thirty 2x8x8s and six 2x8x16s. All lumber is pressure treated. To get it all home we had to rent the trusty Lowe's Truck, after that, we went to work. Amazingly enough, things went pretty smooth. We used the decks I had built previously as anchors for the posts. After the posts were up, we only had enough daylight to frame around the top. Everyone, including Hannah lent a helping hand.
