Did Somebody Say Cereal?

Hannah and I went home to Ok spend some time with the family this week. This was strictly a girls' trip since Ricky's spring break is next week.

Dr. Miller told us on our last visit that Hannah could start with rice cereal, but I just hadn't gotten around to starting the little Missy on it yet. I thought maybe Granny could offer some tips on how to get Hannah used to going from a "liquid" diet to something with texture. Sure enough Granny had all of the answers!

Hannah didn't know what to think of it at first. Most of the 1st bite came right back out the same way it went in. By the 2nd bite she started to keep a little bit in. She made such a terrible face! We gave up after a few more bites. After all, we don't want her to get tired of that stuff. She still has to get through the rest of the cereals before she can start the veggies and fruits!

Oh by the way, tonight I tried feeding Hannah her cereal just like Granny showed me (the football cradle with one arm underneath while you hold the other and spoon with your free hand) but it didn't quite work for me. It seems that Hannah thought it was time to nurse when I held her that way and tried to latch on.... So confusing!!! Is it cereal time or milk time, Mommy????
