Today was the first annual Fort Worth Educators Golf Tournament played at Lost Creek. I know I don't teach in Fort Worth anymore, but some buddies from my old school called me up and asked me to play. One of their guys dropped out at the last minute so they asked me if I knew someone who could fill in. I called in a ringer. We started by playing lights out. With 5 birdies and an eagle (I chipped it in from about 15 yards!). We were 7 under after 8 holes and seemed unstoppable. Then we off the birdie train at the turn, and jumped on the par train. We shot par on the next 8 holes, then birdied 17 & 18 to shoot a 9 under 62. 12 under 59 won the tournament. 3^rd place wasn't that bad out of 22 teams, and our team won hats and a bunch of sleeves of golf balls!
