Big Screen Adventure
On Friday, February 18, I had a field trip scheduled with the Science Buddies (a group from school that I help sponsor with another fellow teacher). Since we wouldn't be getting home until 8:00 p.m., I thought Ricky and Hannah would enjoy spending some time with Mommy so I invited them to join in the fun.
We visited the Fort Worth Musuem of Science & History and saw all of the exhibits. Then at 6:00 we headed off to the Omni to watch "Aliens of the Deep". Now for those of you who don't know what the Omni is let me tell you about it. It is this really huge theater that is in the shape of a dome. It feels like you are right there in the action. It has made grown men cry.
My students thought Hannah would be scared of the "aliens" and Daddy thought Hannah would be scared of the loud movie. I thought she could handle it, but I showed Ricky where he could take her if she got out of control.
Needless to say she was mesmerized by the entire picture!!! She LOVED it! She didn't take her eyes off the screen the entire time.
When we got her home, she was so over-stimulated that she would not even go to sleep until 9:30 pm. Way past her usual time of 8:00. Looks like we have a budding movie enthusiast!
