We took Hannah to the Dr. today because of her little ear infection. I thought they were going to give her some ear drops and maybe some more cherry flavored medicine, but the Dr. had other plans. Hannah received two shots, one in each thigh. My heart broke to see her in so much pain. It took her a couple of seconds to work up a scream, but when she did it was a pitiful Why would you do this to me cry. It was a hard day.

Yesterday, Hannah smiled at me for the first time (on purpose). I smiled at her and she smiled back. I stuck my tongue out at her and she stuck hers right back. We did that for about a minute until I thought Wait a minute, I need to grab my camera.Opportunity missed, by the time I got my camera she stopped smiling. I'm sure there will be other times. Sometimes I think babies are clairvoyant. I think the real reason she was smiling was because she had a little surprise for me later on. That surprise was her peeing all over me. Another first I thought I would avoid.
