Week 22 Visit

My monthly visit to the doctor was rather uneventful except for the fact that the roads were icy and I-30 was like a semi parking lot! I couldn't believe I drove 45 minutes through that stuff just to get weighed!

Anyway, they measured my tummy this time and baby boy is right on track. His heartbeat averaged 140 and this time he wasn't playing any hiding games. I am starting to get those Braxton hicks contractions once again. My belly gets so tight.

The funny things is that for some reason he favors the right side (just like Hannah always did). I am guessing that apparently that side is the "cool" place to hang out. I think Hannah stayed there 99% of the time and it looks like her brother is no exception. His kicks are getting stronger and stronger and he seems to favor the middle of the night.

My weight is still in good shape (13 pounds so far according to their scales). Hopefully, that is a good sign as I take my sugar test on the next visit. With Hannah I seemed HUGE by this time so maybe that means my sugars are doing what they are supposed to be doing this time around. Hey, a girl can dream can't she?

We spent the snow day moving things around in the baby's room. Hannah likes to hang out in there and even tries to climb back in the crib. I tell her, "Nope, this is a baby's room and you are a big girl now!". With that she takes out her toys and goes into her room. She loves her room!

The little man will be here before we know... Time seems to go by so fast. The good news is that at least I have a few more weeks to enjoy my sugar... just in case!
