The Long and the Short of It...

Ricky went back to work on Monday. Tuesday evening he was hurting again, but is OK once he takes his meds. He even got up with the litte man this morning at 2 which was super nice for the mommy. I actually felt rested when I woke up!

Today he went to the surgeon to figure out what we are going to do next. He wants to do surgery as the last resort so he has set up some things to try for a month and to see where that gets us.

Ricky will be doing PT 3x a week for weeks as well as getting a shot once a week for 4 weeks. If that doesn't work than he will need surgery, but there won't be any of that fusing of discs or plates and screws. The doctor said a simple 30 minute procedure and a week later or so he should be fine.

So I guess it's true... Every cloud has a silver lining. Now let's hope we can make it through the next month without any major problems.
